Working with Templates in iris
Across engineering applications, maintaining a clear, consistent style and structure is vital to effective dissemination of any research data. The iris visualization workspace in VIC-3D creates static and dynamic research reports with DIC and imported data (FE meshes, e.g.), along with graphics, image sequences, and text elements.
A range of pre-installed templates, designed specifically for DIC, makes it easy to produce repeatable presentations for new data sets. These templates can be edited and saved to easily produce iris projects using corporate or institutional branding guidelines. This tutorial covers several ways to use iris templates in VIC-3D to produce professional DIC presentations.
The Visualizing Digital Image Correlation series provides a unique window into advanced features and workflows using the iris graphics workspace within digital image correlation software from Correlated Solutions. Each video provides our customers the opportunity to watch the production of an iris project - one that is featured in a corresponding promotional video or application note - at their own pace with minimal instruction. Episode 3 examines the use of templates in iris for creating professional reports based on your DIC data. It shows the process of producing a dynamic report using one of the pre-installed templates and then covers how to modify these templates to create a branded presentation directly within VIC-3D.
