Winter 2022 Newsletter

Happy New Year from Correlated Solutions. It has been a challenging few years for everyone around the world, and we would like to take this moment to thank all our customers and distribution partners for their strong continued support. As we stride into the new year, we have a lot of exciting new developments to share with you.

Have you downloaded the latest version of VIC-3D yet? The latest release of VIC-3D (Version 9.4) contains enhancements to marker tracking and point/marker visualization, as well as FFT improvements. The new features include:

  • All-new 3D marker tracking visualization in iris

  • Customizable marker/extraction labels with escape codes for inserting data

  • PDF export now supports automatic generation of pages for multiple timestep

  • Velocity computation in FFT

  • New dialog for batch processing with automatic report generation

  • Export area FFT data to Universal File Format (UFF)

  • Velocity and acceleration calculation for markers

  • Visualization of locations and trajectories of extraction points in iris

Join us at IMAC-XL for a technical presentation by sales engineer Bluejay Robinson that will highlight the powerful VIC-3D HS FFT digital image correlation system. This three axis, non-contact, full-field optical measurement system can accurately determine the amplitudes and phase changes of operational deflections shapes (ODS) in the frequency domain. In line with this year's IMAC-XL theme of 'Human Experience of Sound & Vibration', this presentation will demonstrate how the VIC-3D HS FFT system obtains ODS data from the face of a guitar after it has been strummed.

The talk will be part of Session 22 in Salon 12 on Feb. 8, 2022 at 9:00 am. Sales engineers from Correlated Solutions will be at Booth 213 to share the latest in DIC/FFT technology and answer questions about our industry-leading software. Make sure to stop by!
