How This Calculator Works
For accurate Digital Image Correlation (DIC) measurements, speckle patterns should be 3-5 pixels in diameter as recommended by the iDICs Good Practices Guide. This calculator determines your camera's pixel scale (physical size per pixel) based on your resolution and field of view, then recommends the optimal Correlated Solutions Speckle Kit size to achieve this target.
