Sustainable construction materials are increasingly popular around the world, and researchers at the University of Queensland’s Department of Civil Engineering have developed an innovative hybrid timber/FRP composite material that shows great promise. The University of Queensland has been in the forefront of digital image correlation for some time and purchased one of the first VIC-3D systems in Australia.
