Major Update to Forming-Limit Curve Testing with VIC-3D 11.2
The new vicpyx extension update in the latest version of VIC-3D provides a high-level API for executing custom scripts directly within the VIC-3D workspace which enables researchers to perform complex, user-defined calculations on full-field displacement and strain data without exporting to external environments. Among the most impactful of these extensions - especially to automotive and materials researchers - facilitate the ability to use digital image correlation with VIC-3D to compute forming-limit strain pairs (ε1, ε2) using the DIN EN ISO 12004-2:2021 standard.
The two new, fully-integrated extensions, FLC ISO 12004 and FLC ISO 12004 Annex F, enable automation of per-sample analysis and aggregation of data into consolidated tables.
