Our digital image correlation systems are used to perform non-contacting, full-field measurements of displacements and strain. Depending on the application, either Vic-2D 2009 is used with a single camera to measure in-plane displacements and strains, or a dual-camera system is used with Vic-3D 2009 to measure the object shape, displacements and full-field strains in three dimensions.

Our laser shearography solution pushes the limits of the measurement sensitivity to the wavelength of light! Typically used for non-destructive testing, this system is based on laser speckle interferometry and can be applied as well for in-plane and out-of-plane strain and deformation measurements and vibration analysis.
We also offer videostroboscope systems that can be used for slow-motion visualization and recording of high-speed events. These systems can be used, for example, on electrodynamic shakers or engine test stands. They work well in non accessible locations and can be applied to both large and micro-scale objects.
Applications
Our deformation measurement systems have found a wide range of applications in industry, academia as well as government and military research facilities. Our Vic-Gauge system is widely used for material testing of compliant materials such as polymers, rubber or biological tissue. The system is capable of real-time strain measurement and can be interfaced with standard tension/compression test frames and controllers. For high strain rate testing, we offer Vic-Gauge systems capable of 100,000 samples per second (post-processing).
The Vic-2D 2009 system is used where strain distributions need to be measured on flat specimens. Applications include fracture mechanics (COD measurement), bi-axial tension tests of films, determination of strain localization around cracks or notches as well as many applications in FE model verification.
Our Vic-3D 2009 systems are used in a broad range of applications such as aluminum or composite fuselage panel testing, automobile crash testing, sheet metal forming, deformation measurement of tires at high speeds as well as vibration measurements.
Shearwin, our laser shearography system, is used for in-plane and out-of-plane strain and deformation measurements, vibration analysis and non destructive testing.
Measurement Systems
We offer complete turn-key measurement systems for a wide range of full-field deformation measurement tasks. Our systems and analysis software are designed with the user in mind and are simple to set up, calibrate and operate. Some of the features of our systems include:
